HPA (Harrison Pitt Architects) was formed in 1979, since when we have built our reputation as a highly versatile practice which offers effective and innovative solutions.

Harrison Pitt Architects were formed 30 years ago in 1979 by Mike Harrison and Dennis Pitt. Over the years the practice has developed a reputation for a wide variety of projects from minor works and individual clients to multi-million projects for major organisations.

Mike and Dennis were the sole principals until 1999, when Richard Parker was appointed as a partner. In 2003, Mike Harrison retired, and Harrison & Pitt Architects Ltd was formed. Two years later Dennis Pitt retired, and Richard Wooldridge returned to become the second Director.

The practice obtains a high level of repeat business from their strong client base, which is testimony to the quality of service that hpa continue to offer. The practice are members of ‘The Green Register of Construction Professionals’, which underlines their commitment to delivering sustainable designs. Furthermore, two members of staff have recently qualified as Assessors for the new ‘Code for Sustainable Homes’ scheme.

Harrison Pitt Architects are an RIBA Chartered Practice who currently employ 10 staff. This includes three Chartered Architects and three Associate members of the Association of Architectural Technologists
